Convert Sequencing.com to RAW data file
$24.99
Description
Use this service to convert a Sequencing.com BAM file to a raw data file that contains all of the SNPs (rs ids) that are in 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and MyHeritage data files.
The converted raw data file will work with a Genetic Lifehacks membership as well as on other sites that utilize files in the raw data format similar to 23andMe.
Step 1): Request and then download your .BAM file from sequencing.com. This can take a few days. Have your downloaded .BAM file available before ordering.
Step 2): After you check out, you will upload your .BAM (or .BAM.gz compressed file) via the Dropbox upload button. Be sure to include your name when it is asked for in the Dropbox upload so that I can match the uploaded file to your order.
Step 3): Check your email in 1-3 business days for an email link to download your converted file. Please be sure to check your spam folder or promotions tab. If you don’t see an email from Genetic Lifehacks within 3 business days, please be sure to reach out.
Note: You will need a fast, solid internet connection to upload the .BAM file. It is a very large file (~50GB if uncompressed), and oftentimes, internet upload speeds are slower than download speeds.
Data privacy, security, and your responsibility for long term storage:
Dropbox is HIPAA compliant with encryption, security, and GDPR compliance. Genetic Lifehacks has a business professional account with Dropbox to ensure the highest level of security.
Your .BAM data file will be removed from the Dropbox and deleted after processing it into the raw data format. This protects your data, but it also means that you are responsible for your .BAM file. Store the .BAM file securely.
Once you have confirmed that you have received your raw data file, that raw data file will also be deleted from my offline storage within a month. I will not be storing your raw data file long term. You will need to safely secure and store it yourself.
